Describe Yourself:
Born on Cape Cod in 1966 to two young artists, Ross was raised in So. Carver, MA, where he began his love for music, art, and literature. Attending the Cambridge School of Weston at the age of 14, he studied theater, music, and fell in love with the writing and styling of such people as E.E. Cummings, Edgar Allen Poe, Lewis Carroll, Anaïs Nin, Carlos Castaneda, and Jack Kerouac. During his first year at Cambridge School, he began writing poetry about love, divorce, the hypocrisies of authoritarian figures, and the brutality of loss. Published weekly in the school papers poetry section and having two pieces selected for the schools writers anthology publication, “Tabula Rasa”, he continued to push the boundaries of typical poetry, writing seven journals of poems in as many years. Ross moved from school to school over his sophomore, junior, and senior years, finally graduating from Marblehead High School in 1985. As an awarded actor, a writer, a musician, a painter, and a photographer, Ross attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts where he studied music, theater, film, and video, writing his last two journals, before the death of a close friend in 1996. Currently his poetry can be viewed on Gather.com, writerscafe.org, nad myspace.com where he is continuously submitting original and unique poetry pieces and widely varried music. Ross was chosen to be one of twenty-six people to have a piece in, Writerscafe.org 2006 Anthology, currently available at lulu.com.
